The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Rasyid Baswedan, saw firsthand the flood conditions that occurred in Jakarta Thursday night. This time he visited RW 05, Rawa Terate Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta.
The former Minister of Education and Culture admitted that he wanted to directly examine the condition of the residents affected by the floods in the village.
“Walk through the flooded streets and meet directly with residents and RT/RW administrators,” Anies said, quoted from the Instagram account @aniesbaswedan Thursday, February 15 2018.
Anies said that flooding in the village regularly occurs every year. In fact, residents have installed water depth measuring devices, namely rulers on roads and in the area.
